Priamo

Giovanni Visconti (Quick Step) forced his way across the line to claim the maglia rosa on Thursday as Matteo Priamo (CSF Group) won stage 6 of the 2008 Giro d’Italia.

The two were part of a 12-man break that held more than 15 minutes on the bunch at one point — and finished with just under 12 minutes’ advantage after 231.6km of racing from Potenza to Peschici.
