Giro d’Italia 2009 Free Live Stream Video Of Stage 13 - Lido di Camaiore - Firenze. A couple of straightforward climbs early on in the stage apart, this is a pan-flat day’s cycling that looks guaranteed for a sprint finish. In fact, it would be no surprise to see several of the sprinters pull out after this stage with so few opportunities for them in the last week, which only makes a sprint even more certain.

A big crash split the peloton with about 10k to go. The crash was near the front of the peloton, catching many riders behind them and knocking them out of competition for the finish – including Mark Cavendish in the pink jersey.

The 2009 Giro’s 3rd day was animated by an escape of five, which got away after only nine kilometres. Giuseppe Palumbo (Acqua e Sapone), Yuriy Krivtsov (AG2R), Mauro Facci (Quick Step), Mikhail Ignatiev (Katusha) and Björn Schröder (Milram) quickly built up a lead of seven minutes. Their lead held for most of the day, but they the peloton caught them at kilometre 161.

Garmin-Slipstream recived a major blow when captain Christian Vande Velde crashed about three-quarters of the way through the stage. He tried to keep on going, but soon had to leave for hospital in an ambulance.

A policeman had originally stopped Lance Brewer Jr. at around 6 p.m. Wednesday near the intersection of Zurlo Way and Bridgecross Drive for not having a light on his bicycle.

The cop then found Brewer to be in possession of 10 Vicodin pills that had not been prescribed to him, police said.

Brewer was taken to jail and underwent a strip search. At that time, police found an additional 10 Vicodin pills hidden in Brewer’s ass crack, investigators said.

After the discovery of the Vicodin in his butt crack, Brewer was booked on suspicion of unlawful possession of a controlled substance and bringing drugs into jail.
